Fill Summer Days with Community Service Opportunities
The end of the school year is fast approaching, and parents everywhere are considering how to fill long summer days with the kids at home. Keeping kids engaged in positive activities throughout the summer can be challenging. JustServe.org, a new website that connects nonprofit organizations that have volunteer needs with those who would like to volunteer, can help parents and kids find opportunities to use their extra time to do some real good this summer.

A quick search on JustServe.org for projects in the North Phoenix area, produced 12 service opportunities appropriate for all ages. Projects range from Audrey’s Angels to assisting at the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation or St. Vincent’s Thrift Shop.

“You may not be able to solve all of the world’s problems by volunteering for a project on JustServe, but you will be able to help someone and that is making a real difference,” said Kevin Blood, a volunteer project administrator for JustServe.

JustServe.org has been connecting North Phoenix and Anthem area residents to nonprofits, community, government and faith organizations in need of volunteers for about five months.

“This thank you email is long over do! On behalf of UCP of Central Arizona, and the Development Department, I would like to thank you all.” - From United Cerebral Foundation.
